People who tell you how wonderful they are have little confidence. Their strategy is "if i can get you to like me, then maybe i can get to like myself."


Extraordinary people don't have to keep telling you "I'm amazing!" Dose batman say " Look at me! I'm incredible and I have the fastest wheel in town?" No. He know he's cool. So he just gets about saving Gotham city. He just makes it happen. When you know something in your heart- when you really believe it- you don't need anyone to agree with you. You know and that's enough. 


It's always people who don't have much and can't do much - talk the most. " Empty barrels make the most noise." If you understand why people boast, then they won't irritate you so much.
